The Library and Family History Centre is situated at 15 Victoria Terrace in the heart of the Old Town of Edinburgh, just off the Royal Mile and close to Edinburgh Castle, the National Library of Scotland and the Edinburgh Central Library. The Library and Family History Centre is located at the west end of Victoria Terrace as shown and is only a short walk or taxi ride from Waverley railway station or St. Andrews Bus Station.

Looking down Victoria Terrace (the elevated terrace on the right of the picture) and Victoria Street from the George IV Bridge end of Victoria Terrace (see map). The Family History Centre and Library is just around the corner (out of view) from the last building visible along Victoria Terrace.
