The Scottish Genealogy Society

Magazine

The Society publishes a quarterly magazine, The Scottish Genealogist, which is sent free to all members and affiliated societies. The magazine was first published in 1954, initially in typescript but soon afterwards in print. The magazine includes articles written by both members and non-members, from Scotland and elsewhere, some of general interest and some on specific topics, such as histories of individual families. In addition, the magazine includes regular sections covering news, events, members' queries, letters to the Editor, reviews of both books and websites, Editor's Notes, details of additions to the Library and additions to the sales catalogue, as well as other material. The Society also has a remit to publish certain items of scholastic or historical significance which might otherwise go unrecorded. There will always be much to interest the Scottish family historian.

The Editor welcomes contributions. If you are considering contributing an article to the magazine then please contact the Editor by E-Mail.
